¡ Hola a todos ! Our tour guide, José, decided to wake me up from my nap in the cabin to a ginormous toad trying to get in to our cabin! Today we visited a chocolate plantation and made our own cocoa powder straight from the bean. We also made hot chocolate and got to add our own flavors the guide suggested cornstarch, chili powder and a drip of vanilla, to say the least, my spicy intake level is not as tolerable as the Ticos here in Costa Rica. To get to the plantation we had to walk 33 of us across a 1/2 mile suspension bridge over the river we white water rafted in earlier. Tonight, a very few (brave) kids will be adventuring in to the rainforest during the dark and rainy hours wearing our very touristy (and dorky) ponchos! Tomorrow is our canopy zip lining tour and a visit to La Fortuna.
